Vanessa Corwin: A native New Yorker, she is an award-winning producer. Her work has screened on broadcast and cable television, in film festivals and independent venues. Films she has produced include the documentary "Save the Putnam Nature Trail" and the narrative short, "Saint Nick." Additionally, she is stage manager and production manager for VISIONS Contemporary Ballet. She previously managed communications for the Programs in Physical Therapy at the Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons at Columbia University Irving Medical Center. In 2022, Vanessa directed a live Zoom performance of "Lost & Found" by Kathleen Kaan at the New Playwrights Virtual Arts Festival and created the accompanying video elements. Most recently, she produced a narrative short film, "Five Flights," written by Kathleen Kaan. She is a member of New York Women in Film & Television and HOLA.
Playwright Kathleen Kaan is a native New Yorker who grew up in Alphabet City. She studied at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. An accomplished singer, she entertained audiences nationally and internationally. Her two ten-minute plays, "Lost and Found" and "Remember" were featured in the New Playwrights Virtual Arts Festival. "Remember" was featured in the New York Theater Festival in 2022. Flowersong Press published "Remember" in 2024 as part of their Covid anthology. Kathleenn's award-winning short film, "Five Flights," which she wrote and executive produced, screened at many film festivals including International Film Festival Manhattan, Big Apple Film Festival, and New York Short Festival. "Five Flights" was also a semi-finalist in several other festivals including Best Short Competition where it garnered a Certificate of Merit for script and writer. Kathleen's full-length play, "Teddy's Doll House," premiered at the New York International Fringe Festival and had an industrial reading at the Cherry Lane Theater. A TV pilot of the play is in the works. She is a member of New York Women in Film and Television and The Dramatists Guild.
